Introduction:
In an Australian Day celebration event, a billboard was seen to feature with two women in hijabs but after some day the photograph was removed from that billboard site and it was also stated by the press that the company which features that photograph, got several threats. The digital sign always displayed various photographs of different cultural backgrounds and that controversial photographs displayed that two Muslim girls smiling in front of the Australian Flag. This photograph was criticized by hundreds of people where they stated that the picture was displaying the politically corrected messages whereas, other people of the country though it was not showing any true reflection of the Australia.
Analysis
That huge billboard was hosted by one of the media company QMS in Australia. This photograph was promoted for the RACV-sponsored festival in Kings Domain Gardens also it includes the Victoria’s official government and Australia Day logos (Anon, 2017). However several criticizers criticized about the billboard photograph where they think the Muslims are not for represent their country’s pride (VICE News, 2017). However the multicultural minister of the Victoria stated about the removing of the photo that Australia is a country where different cultured people stays and in every year on Australia Day this country celebrates together for the different cultural diversity which makes the country great but when the billboard got several threats from the minority people of this country, they removed the photograph. Some other people uses the social media for expressing their reaction related to the girls in hizabs holding the nation flag of Australia. They think that on that national day in Australia, the billboard is trying to losing the cultural diversity of the country (Humanrights.gov.au, 2017)
Australia is country with multicultural diversities. They are recognized as one of the oldest country in all over the world and it is also found that there are belonging from almost 270 ancestries. Their different cultural diversity gives them actual strength to become one of the strongest countries in the world. After the Racial Discrimination Act was introduced in the country, it discriminate the public life against the racism of the law.  It was also known as one of the first federal anti-discrimination law of Australia (Anon, 2017). The racism is one of the discriminated topics in every country. However Australia also believes the racism in their society which makes their structure poor due to the lack of the cultural diversity. Racism can describe as a belief where the determination of any human traits or their capacity and the racial difference introduce the inherent superiority of the particular race. It produces the differentiation in values, norms and behaviours (Humanrights.gov.au, 2017).
It always reflects on the historical, social, cultural and power inequalities in society where people live. Some people recognize the racism as a oppressive because it is related with the systematic use of power or authority which treats other unjustifiably. The people who found themselves in a
devalued position always made their own atmosphere. It can also say that the racism always hurt people for being in their existence. Without the power nobody can claim the racism (Anon, 2017).
However according the power of discrimination there are four type of f racism can be recognized. The interpersonal racism which is occur when someone use any jokes or comments which cause any offences of moral rights according the constitution of the country or hurt but not by intentionally stated through verbally harassment or intimidation (Banks 2015).
When the racism is stated according systematically or institutionally through any policies or anything in media by any certain of groups which discriminate their natural behaviour then it is called the Institutional or systemic racism. The Diet Racism is also known as subtle racism which stated the values and expressed where they blame the victims for the unemployment and the medial reinforce negative stereotypes of minority groups. There is another racism can be recognized which is known as reverse racism (Deresky & Christopher 2015).
In this racism the white people describe the behaviour of the Blake people and underestimated their cultural aspects (Anon, 2017). In this part of the racism the people say that implies the anti-black and reverse-racism implies the anti-white procedure. Sometimes this racism is became the harmful for the people in the country (Banks 2015).
Therefore according the critical race theory and discourse theory It challenges the meritocracy of western countries such as the U.S which addresses the hegemonic system of white supremacy whereas, the disclosure theory describe the racism through text , talk & language the challenges of minority groups and the various contexts of the reproduction of racism. It is so sad that when someone was get hurt for the racism by the racist it not only hurt the people but also very bad for the country where it failed maintain their cultural diversity of the country (Banks 2015).
Provide a plan:
When the billboard uses the photographs of two girls who are wearing hizabs, the company got several threats. The criticizers think that the Australia is country who welcomes their culture with several diversities but that does not mean they will use the photographs of Muslim people. Though, the government of Australia accepts the multicultural diversity in their country, many Australian did not take the initiative in a good way. According the Islam culture they think that it is the choice of women that they will wear the hizab or not. It is a religious veil that covers their entire body or face of a woman (Anon, 2017).
It can be said that the racism affect to the health, employment, residence, family, children and many more. Sometimes it also physical attacks are including who are in race. The Australian thinks that they are against the racism but it is one of the main issues in their community. Racism hurt every people. They make several anti-racism society and strategies for preventing the racism where many volunteers work together against the racism and tried to develop the National Anti-Social Strategies in all over the country (Deresky & Christopher 2015).
This National Anti-Racism Strategy is approved by the Australian government where they promote several messages against the racism in Australia. They always try to give clear concepts of racism which are against of the human nature and human rights. Their aim is to make the Australia racism free country. They make the awareness of racism and the effectiveness in the individuals and broader community. They identify the issues and tried to prevent the racism. They also empower the community and the individual person about to take actions against the racism and use their moral rights as a citizen of the country (Humanrights.gov.au, 2017).
This National Anti-Racism Strategy always makes sure that their strategy always activate in the country. They promote that Australia never recognize the racism because in their community it is totally unacceptable. They provide various tools for preventing the racism and take actions against such acts. The volunteers from the National Anti-Racism Strategy are working on the racism from many years (VICE News, 2017). They campaign in every local area and the local communities and describing them that the racism always makes people divided with each other. It not only affects us individually but also affects their nation. Australia is a country which never accepted the racism and tolerates the racism activities. They working with the issues and develop the problems with racism.
Australia is a country which deals with different cultures or multicultural. The cultural diversity is a perfect term that goes with Australia where not only different cultures present but also have different human societies with specific region (Humanrights.gov.au, 2017)
However, the roots of racism never be opted out from any nation which cause the billboard company remove the photographs of two gills in hijab. In an interview the mother of the two girls stated that they are not aware of the photographs. Their family members are also determine about disclosing their identities. The two girls are not aware about the reasons removing of the photographs. They must not affected by the racism for being a Muslim who are citizen of Australia and not have any right to hold the flag on for celebrating the Australia Day. This situation may affect the two girls and may be they suffered some racism in their social life (VICE News, 2017). It will never accept that from ay background they can belong but as a person and the citizen of the Australia they also love their country and want to celebrate the cultures of the country. The society must not involve with any offences which affect the nation. Therefore according to their culture they have rights to wear their traditional dress and nobody should make any comments regarding their religion (Deresky & Christopher 2015)
Conclusion
According to the upper discussion it can be said that the billboard company faced several threats for giving the photographs as a symbol of celebrating the Australia Day where they showed the love and happiness towards the country. However, the racism is against of the human nature. It also prohibits the moral rights of the human. The National Anti-Racism Strategy making their steps against the racism and prevent the offences and trying to keep the people save. The billboard company should not remove the photographs and must celebrate the togetherness of the people for their country.
