Aims And Objectives Of The Research
This research aims to examine the idea of community vitality, the degree to which it exists in Bhutan, and how it is being implemented. The paper will focus on several objectives like:
1.Examine the relation between the idea of community vitality and the concept of resilience, sustainable development, and bioregionalism.
2.Exploring the concept of community vitality and its prospects for achieving sustainability.
3. Analyze case studies in Thimphu city and dorokha to determine the extent of community vitality present in Bhutan.
4.Providing some possible recommendations for achieving sustainability in Bhutan through community vitality.
Chapter one – idea of community vitality and measuring community vitality through bioregionalism, resilience, and sense of place.
This chapter discusses about the key features of community vitality like the sense of place, social capital, and terms of social participation in community. Moreover, several concepts like bioregionalism, resilience and sense of place will be used to measure community vitality of the communities in Fremantle region.
Chapter two – case studies: existence of community vitality in Bhutan
Under this chapter, a brief history of community vitality and its existence in Bhutan will be discussed using case studies, literature review and autoethnographic. The existence and absence of community vitality in two different communities (one urban and the other one rural) will be examined using the idea of bioregionalism, resilience, and sense of place.
Chapter three – conclusion
The final chapter discuses about the key findings from the paper and its limitations. And it concludes with some possible recommendations to enhance community vitality in Bhutan for a sustainable development.
