Your task for your Reflective Post this week is to select one of the above comparison rates between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians and consider how you might approach a sociological examination of this issue. You do not need to conduct this examination in full, but you should lay the groundwork for further inquiry. Draw on at least one sociological paradigm in your response.  As you develop your approach, think about what kind of data you would need to gather as a Sociologist to best examine the issue.  What kind of data might we need based on the approach I mean to take? What level of society do we want to examine? Why? Is this the best approach to examining this issue? What are the factors influencing these rates in our society? Why is there such a massive disparity? Keep in mind the conventions of the Discussion Activities task (you are strongly encouraged to review the rubric that the Teaching Team will use to mark your Discussion Board Activities before completing this task).
