Question:
Describe the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Answer:
Red Wine
Piccini Memoro Rosso
This wine came first on my list because of the number of orders it had that week. It has a rich, fun and fruity taste to it and a deep ruby colour and dark cherry aroma. Easy and nearly state-of-the-art, smooth and sophisticated changed into to taste. There were no shouty tannins it was velvety, medium bodied and again fruity. Sipping the wine exhibits heaps of clean, candy darkish fruit inclusive notes of prunes and raisins. Vanilla and oak continue to be blend together with touches of leather.
The fruit turns extra closer to sweet cherry brownies on the satisfying finish. It has a blend of Montepulciano grapes from Abruzzo, primitive from Puglia. Nero d’Avola from Sicily and merlot from the colder parts of Veneto region which results to a rich and warm taste with dark cherry and fig flavours, something that will be a bonus when paired with my cumin spiced burgers with harissa mayo gourmet meal to go with the Piccini Memoro. This rich wine only costs £42.00 per case which is a discount on its £51.00 per case. The Memoro has had over 100 orders this week, and it’s no wonder people are baying for more since it’s softer and easy drinking for Italian wine.
Old Renwick Road Pinot Noir
With Pinot Noir grapes grown in Marlborough on the banks of River Wairau in New Zealand with a beautiful blend of wild strawberry fruits and ripe raspberry. It’s well integrated and absolutely in which it should be, warming but now not too spirited. Pale and transparent fantastically balanced with ripe raspberry and wild strawberry culmination, light and fruity, an excellent sprinkling of vegetable undergrowth that attracts you in and wraps you up in its silky texture.
At the price of just £54.00 per case, the Marlborough Pinot Noir is making a name for itself by combining hints of cherries and spice with ripe strawberries and raspberry flavours. Rosemary, lemon and garlic leg of a lamb was the accompaniment of this type of wine. The wine is most favourite drink at dinner parties with its promising fruity nose and red summer fruits. Wonderful compliment for food as it doesn’t overpower it has that slightly spicy taste that put some zeal to the food and can also be easily drunk on its own. One purchases and keeps for future guests.
Chateau Piron, Montagne St. Emilion
This is yet another beautifully crafted wine from France. The Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon have been harvested straight from the vineyard on the right bank of Bordeaux’s Gironde’s estuary. The Montagne St. Emilion is not only good with food but also is open more approachable with a tinge of elegance and smoothness, thus making it more popular than other St. Emilion. The wine is a deep pink colour still in its youth. Profound, ripe and open nose were intermixing black fruits and a hint of undergrowth. The wine has an intense pink berry aroma with undergrowth in addition to blackberry and liquorice.
Quality, well-integrated attack. Satisfactory tannins framed using fat. Sweet finish tinged with a touch of bitterness. Fifty cases of this elegant wine have been supplied the restaurant meaning it is a go-to choice for most consumers; it is a must try. This wine brings out the best of my bacon wrapped pork loin with cherries since it has that smooth, well blended full-bodied red wine with just the taste of blackcurrant, cedar wood and savoury spice flavours of the Montagne Saint Emilion. This only costs £54.00 per case.
White Wine
Cavit Mastri Vernacoli Pinot Grigio Trentino DOC
In many cases, customers prefer the Sauvignon Blanc to the Pinot Grigio, but this one made in Trentino, Italy is a game changer, so far one of the best Pinot Grigio. It has an almost lemon peel character to it with a real citrus lift and subtle pear fruit, flowery and lightly spicy nose with hints of honey, apples and nuts. Mineral and crisp within the mouth with a fuller and more rounded finish. Fashionable, elegant, classy and different. Very drinkable or with food, comes in handy especially paired with the tomato basil feta and olive salad and can go with fish and white meat (Frenchscout, 2017).
It’s much smoother and has little acidity or sharpness to the taste like many other wines making it very easy to drink with friends or just on a cold evening in the garden. It’s an all-rounder wine making it enjoyable for all social gatherings. It’s straw yellow with typical floral notes that intense with a persistent nose, great elegance and character for just £57.96.
Cotes de Gascogne
This French wine did not disappoint especially accentuating it with my simple sun-dried tomato Caesar with parmesan croutons. At first, I wasn’t sure about it, but when I tasted, it has that stronger more reminiscent taste, an absolute yes to the French wine. With the unusual blend of Gros Manseng and Colombard grapes from Gascony, France it’s beautiful with the food as it softens and mellows the flavours.
The sweet white wines, crafted from mature Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng grapes, are sparkling, elegant, and balanced. For those who want to try something different than the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, this is a better alternative. With typical elements to associate with like keen acidity notes and gooseberry notes, yet successfully complemented by the assets of the Gros Manseng which brings out that spicier and floral notes to this lovely wine. Classy and elegant wine as most people review it mainly for a French Sauvignon Blanc. Its £36.00 per case and it won’t disappoint (WineFolly, 2015).
Jackson Estate Stich Sauvignon Blanc
This Sauvignon Blanc from Jackson Estate has a fantastic aromatic flavour with intense, lively citrus and gooseberry fruit aromas. Just as expected from this winery, this wine does not disappoint. Made by one of the most fantastic wine producers in New Zealand, Marlborough, John Stichbury’s Jackson Estate’s Sauvignon Blanc is far more superior to any other white wine made in Marlborough.
Many have reviewed this to be good quality wine, and a definite go-to anytime can be given confidently to guests especially paired precisely with my Garlicky grilled tilapia with couscous since it offers that perfect bright acidity you’d expect given it a slight tingle at the back of the throat. Sharp, crisp edge in the mouth making it delicious elegant and smooth. Although slightly overpriced at £66.00 it gives you value for your money (Paul, 2015).
