Question:
List some of the toxins that persist in the human body, and the potential sources of those toxins in your environment. What are the substances that your body comes into contact with during a normal day? Make up a dialogue between your body and your environment and submit a paper.
Answer:
The word toxins, widely used to refer to the substances that reach human beings and the human body systems cannot digest or remove these substances from the system (Lefebvre, 2017). Toxins can be substances from animal origin or plants and cause the harm to the organism body after coming into contact or interacting with such substances. According to Lefebvre (2017), toxins differ in the activity, that is a toxin for an individual may not be as toxic to another person. This paper discusses the toxins that persist in the human body, their possible sources from the environment, and the substances that our bodies gets exposed to on a daily basis that possesses a lot of toxins.
According to Body Ecology (2018), categories of sources of toxins are the externals and internal sources. The externals toxins include substances that pollute the environment around us. For instances, the pollutants and heavy metals such as mercury and lead, pesticides used in farming, and exposure to smokes through passive smoking (St. Pierre, n.d.). Internally, toxins accumulate from harmful bacteria and yeasts. Besides, internal toxins may also emerge from chronic stress, anxieties, negative minds, and from a low-grade chronic infection from a virus (Body Ecology (2018). List of toxins can get outlined as follows, the hematoxins for instance snake venoms, the phototoxins from marigold plants, necrotoxins from the flesh eating bacteria, and the neurotoxins found in the pufferfish (Lefebvre, 2017).
Lefebvre (2017), argues in the daily human activities, there are various toxins we get exposed. First, the food consumed daily possess a variety of toxins (Lefebvre, 2017). Due to modernization in the society, various processed foods are added chemicals like preservatives and other additives of color and flavors. Chemical added in the processed foods accumulates as toxins and leads to digestion complications and allergies. Secondly, people use water for various purposes. In this case, water used in the daily activity gets contaminated from the sources (Leslie et al. 2015). Thirdly, the products and other everyday care products used by people are the most significant source of toxin (Body Ecology, 2018). Beauty products such as kinds of toothpaste, soaps, shampoos and various makeups are products manufactured from harmful chemicals. Applying these products on a daily basis increases the risks of accumulating toxins to the bodies. The other factor that exposes people to toxins is due to negative thinking and stressful lives. According to statistics by the Centers for Disease Control, about 90% of the illnesses that humans being suffers from emanates from stress (Body Ecology (2018). Due to stress, bacteria and yeast that are friendly to the human body may die thus creating a room for the harmful bacteria. As a result, the illnesses emerge due to the imbalances in the inner body ecological systems (Leslie et al. 2015).
Conclusion:
Toxins are the harmful substance that causes harm to an organism after interacting or contacting with such substances. There are four major categories of toxins that is phototoxins, necrotoxins, neurotoxins, and hemotoxins. In daily activities, humans get exposed to these toxins from various sources such as water, food, beauty products, the environment and due to stress and negative thinking. Since toxins surround human life, the best way to survive is by avoiding negative thinking and take caution over the products used.
