ASSESSMENT 1A : The Reverse Client brief Students are required to use the Reverse Client Brief Template Word Limit: 1500 words (plus appendices and reference list) You will be given a brief from a real-life client in Module 2 and from this you are required to prepare The Reverse Client Brief: Assessment 1A. During class in Module 2 your tutor will deliver the client brief to you. You will need to take comprehensive notes during this session as it will only be delivered once. A short written summary will also be provided. If you miss the Module 2 session you will need to make individual arrangements with your tutor to obtain the brief in order to complete this assessment successfully. This assessment is designed to ensure that you accurately understand and hear your client’s needs and wants; the communications environment, any societal issues and cultural contexts budgetary and time constraints that could impact on the development and implementation of their web communication requirements. You will be assessed on the following criteria, which carry equal weighting: • Appropriately and adequately addressing the task; • Level of critical thinking represented in the client reverse brief; • Demonstration of clear understanding of the client’s objectives • Identification of the target audience; • Clear comprehension of client’s project requirements; • Identification of client’s budget and timeline; • Clear strategy statement; • Response to the communications brief, content brief, creative and technical brief; • Level of professionalism in presentation including use of appropriate report structure, appropriate use and accuracy of language, spelling, grammar and editing, layout and format.
