Discuss about the Psychology I, The driving forces that makes people jealous are not always the enemies but the immense condition of suspicion that people enter due to certain characters, which they think, can be real dangers to their valuable relationships.

Introduction
Jealousy is an emotion that is complex in nature because it surrounds feelings extending from fear of neglect to rage and disgrace. Jealousy affects both men and women and is most classically aroused when an individual realizes a threat to a precious relationship from any third party (Pines, 2013). The threat however, can be either real or perceived. Jealousy is not only limited to romantic relationships but also arises among siblings or among friends.
Topic- This essay of Jealousy will deal with the types, causes and affects it can have on the individuals.
 The main objective of this essay is to have a brief understanding of the given topic Jealousy.
Definition
Jealousy can be categorized into two that are normal and abnormal in spite of having certain very common labels that can be fastened to all shape of jealousy. Thus, it can be clubbed in the following types-

Abnormal jealousy- Words like morbid, delusional, pathological, psychotic or anxious can easily define this type of jealousy. However, it can be ascribed to utmost immaturity, self-doubt or an obsession for being in control. At times, it can be because of certain mental illnesses like schizophrenia or paranoia or might be due to chemical imbalances in the brain (Malik & Arif, 2012).
Normal jealousy

Romantic jealousy- This is a type of normal jealousy that is very common to the experiences individual comes across. However, researcher says that the foremost fights that the couple have are mainly due to this emotion named jealousy.
Friend jealousy- when someone is scared to lose his or her friends due to an intruder then this type of jealousy occurs.
Power jealousy- This type of jealousy is mainly found in the workplace witnessing someone else being promoted, raised to some better position or getting any kind of benefits at work.
Family jealousy- In family this type of jealousy is seen as the rivalry among siblings (Swami et al., 2012).

The driving forces that makes people jealous are not always the enemies but the immense condition of suspicion that people enter due to certain characters, which they think, can be real dangers to their valuable relationships. Jealousy is itself a type of wicked presence that surrounds an individual’s life and the following actions that are taken due to jealousy are mainly destructive. Moreover, people hardly have any control over jealousy, as it is natural and instinctive emotion experienced by every individual at one point of time in their life span. The main purpose of Jealousy is to help maintaining the close relationships. Jealousy is often interchanged with the term envy though both are different in their own spheres. Envy is aimed at others desiring their possessions, victories and qualities. Whereas jealousy included the thought, that one can lose or may have lost love or security from the other person due to a third party (Sanders, 2014).
Jon seems to get jealous whenever his girlfriend flirts with other men infront of him to see his reaction. This emotion of Jon, which is termed as jealousy, is due to the insecurity he has because he does not want to lose his love interest. Therefore, this is a romantic jealousy caused out of the fear of losing a strong bond.
Background 
The historical perspective suggests that some people experience jealousy on a mild basis on limited occasions while there are some who feels it to a pathological level. For those experiencing jealousies at the pathological level usually as a result guides to the end of the valuable relationships. However, among the various reasons why people get jealous the common causes are as follows-

Insecurity- among the other sources the most common origin of jealousy is insecurity. Low self-esteem or the repressed ego is what a jealous person has who is insecure in his or her romantic relationship.
Paranoid personality- paranoid approaches for numerous things in life can actually originate from jealousy. However, it has been seen that Paranoia at its most severe end of the spectrum can make an individual become Schizophrenia-paranoid type. However, many people, men or women have certain paranoid characteristics but that is not that severe to meet the diagnosis of paranoid disorder.  Those individuals who have mild or moderate paranoia have trust issues that is they find it difficult to trust others and thus, end up concluding hostile intent to the motives of others. The personality types they have are mainly the one that guides them to feel them as victimized or ill-treated. Thus, they get jealous easily and often get the belief that they are being cheated without getting convinced by the evidences.
obsessive thoughts- though most of the individuals can handle the amount of uncertainty the come across except those who falls in the obsessive types, for them it is the difficult thing to manage the uncertainty.

Apart from the above-described causes, there are many other reasons for jealousy, which can be the terror of being substituted, people’s psychological factors, and quality of the individual relationships. However, jealousy hits individuals in different ways that is physically, psychologically or emotionally.
Evaluation
The reasons for jealousy become so strong that it empowers the individual. Therefore, the physical effects are so evident that it is reflected as eye bags, pimples, increased pulse rate, sweating, weight change, crying, shaking and hair fall which are mainly because the individual stressing much about jealousy (Boyce et al., 2016). Moreover, the psychological effects can affect a jealous person badly and push him or her towards depression. However, jealousy can also cause inspiration with realization where this inspiration may encourage the individual to alter for the better and have a different perspective over jealousy. Emotionally a person is seen facing sadness, hopelessness, feeling of unworthiness and anger.  Moreover, apart from guiding people through emotional and physical distresses jealousy can put strain by possibly twisting communication as well as independence among the individuals in a relationship. It can also assist a person to further abuse both verbally or physically in as well as outside relationships (Arnocky et al., 2012).
Conclusion
Thus, from the above essay it can be concluded that jealousy is a complex emotion that is often confused with envy. However, both have certain similarities as well as contrast. Jealousy is thus, found to be surrounded with feelings of extending from fear of neglect to rage and disgrace, which can affect both men and woman. Jealousy is of two types one is normal and another is abnormal. Moreover, the major causes of jealousy are insecurity, paranoid personality or obsessive thoughts in an individual. Lastly, jealousy also affects any individual badly by not only destroying their valuable relationships but also by affecting their physical, emotional and psychological health.
