In essence, a higher PH of the trachea often results in difficulty in the overall exhalation or rather the expiratory process in an individual’s breathing system. In case an individual happens to have inhaled air, the air usually goes through the entire respiratory tract and then into the alveoli. In this light, the rate of respiratory rate as well as the breath holding ability plays a major role as an indicator of an individual’s blood PH.  Notably, this is because the human body uses carbon dioxide levels as a principal way of regulating blood PH (Honda, Virdi, & Chan, 2018). In case carbon dioxide is dissolved in the blood, there is a formation of carbonic acid. The too much carbonic acid in the body makes the respiratory center in the brain to transmit signals to the overall respiratory muscles forcing them to breathe to get rid of excess carbon dioxide (Honda, Virdi, & Chan, 2018). Notably, this often results in a high rate of respiratory more than 18causing the breath hold time to be shorter.
Primarily, problems in breathing reduce the intake of oxygen in the blood thus increasing the level of carbon dioxide as well as hydrogen ions (Lehtinen & Martin, 2018). Notably, this increases the overall acidity in the blood that cannot be regulated in the body due to failure in the respiratory system of the victim in the case study. As a result of the low oxygen environment in the lungs, little aeration results in the reduction of PH of the body (Honda, Virdi, & Chan, 2018). Due to muscles fatigue, as they try to pump oxygen rapidly, the thin filaments in the respiratory muscles breakdowns. This show at the blood PH is correlated with breaking down of respiratory muscles since a result to increase in acidity that result to fatigue in respiratory muscles.
