answer one of the below questions Whilst charities are recognizably in competition with one another for donations and other sources of funding, can assessing the “competitive forces” be applied to not for profit organisations such as local government? Is one regional area (e.g. Sharjah and Ajman), municipality (e.g. Beijing and Shanghai), local government or borough (e.g. Hackney and Walthamstow in London) in a position to compete with another? Can we extend the 5 forces model to national government departments (e.g. education, energy, culture)? Does the 5 forces model apply to the public sector, and why or why not?
