Details of Task: “Effective designing of teams is an essential function of managers. However, team functionality and performance are critical ongoing challenges for managers to ensure organisational success.” Your task is to apply theories of teams to critically evaluate the above statement. The following guidelines apply to your essay: ● Use at least 7 refereed journal articles for the basis of your academic discussion. You need to ensure that your theories and these articles are related to the essay statement. ● Use a maximum of 2 management textbooks. ● Make sure you appropriately cite theoretical models and research findings presented in the unit to date that support your argument. ● Answers that are simply descriptive and that do not draw on the accumulated body of scientific knowledge on group behaviour will be penalised. Release date: To be advised by lecturer Word limit: 2000 words (+/- 10%). This excludes references. Presentation requirements: You should present your work in an academic style, including: Times New Roman (12 font), 1.5 spacing between lines, assessment cover sheet, 2.5 cm justified margins (on all sides), page number, student name and ID on each page, correct citation and referencing (APA 6th ) style.
