Answer:
The positive effects of being in a multicultural society for minority Canadians can be felt in their life satisfaction and their sense of social integration in Canada. Moreover, their ethnic attachments help them participating in voting ceremonies (ideas-idees.ca, 2018). On the other hand, negative effects can be seen on immigrants’ citizenship acquisition rates. 
The second finding of the given article focuses on the fact that visible minorities of Canada have often been discriminated. Moreover, despite having highest poverty rates, minority children are gradually getting more chances to get high level of education.  
The third finding shows that visible minority Canadians are discriminated on the ground of religion. This is highly visible in Muslim immigrants who share a different sense of value than the habitants of Canada. 
The social result of these findings foregrounds the fact that many cases regarding Muslim integration have not been reflected in the survey data. Moreover, Quebec shows comparatively low rates of minority based discrimination than other parts of Canada. 
As per the findings, this can be said that the new multicultural policy needs to look after possible challenges of social diversity along with its benefits. 
Multicultural policy 1971 aims at supporting visible minority groups in Canada. Additionally, this policy aims at providing equal access to them for being integrated in the society by giving them resources for participation (pier21.ca, 2018). Moreover, this policy supports a better interrelation among every cultural group in Canada. 
The Canadians have been suggested to be more indulged in inter-cultural group interactions for promoting positive side of multiculturalism. 
Minority communities have been suggested to become a social bridge between the Canadians and the immigrants in order to promote social cohesion. 
It is easier to promote multiculturalism in a society that does not follow a strict sense of singular identity. This is so because holding onto any strict national identity can only make the condition of immigrants worse as they cannot blend into a new identity overnight (Winter, 2015). Thus, multiculturalism can be promoted if Canadians start interacting with immigrants by involving them in public gatherings. In addition, schools need to set an advanced curriculum that celebrates diversity both in forms of core and hidden curriculums. On the other hand, workplaces can introduce new rules that can save the immigrants from being discriminated. Furthermore, new policies can be made or old multicultural policies can be revised according to needs of visible minorities in Canada. In this regard, this can be mentioned that diversity can be of many types that include religious diversity, cultural diversity, linguistic diversity and more. Thus, both the communities belonging from minority and majority need to be more flexible towards each other. In other words, multiculturalism is a process that can leave a positive impact on the society if both the communities involve in the process positively (Ng & Metz, 2015). Moreover, apart from application of new policies, mindset of people needs to become more welcoming so that the immigrants can feel like home in Canada.
