Purpose: This writing assessment is designed to allow students to demonstrate their critical
and independent thinking skills. It will test students’ knowledge of organisational
learning theories and their ability to be reflective and reflexive (ability to reflect on
one’s own self). This assessment is related to Learning Outcomes a, b and c.

Submission: Soft copy on Moodle through Turnitin – essay only – exclude reference list –
reference list is to be included in the hard copy version submitted in class.
Hard copy INCLUDING references in class – 8 September, 2017, 9am.
NB. Submission of the hard copy of essay in class without Turnitin submission by
due date is considered ‘late submission’
Topic: Leaders and Learning
Task Details: To be uploaded on Moodle no later than Week 2
Marking Guide: Students will be evaluated as per Essay Marking Guide based on the five criteria
assessed across the marking scale from Fail to High Distinction. These criteria
include a) knowledge and theory; b) analysis and application; c) reflectivity and
critical thinking; d) writing style and structure; and e) evidence of research and
correct use of APA referencing style.
