Introduction:

The concept of Prince by Machiavelli is a discourse on the power discourse of the politics that goes on behind the governance of a nation. The perspectives related to the social implication of the power balance in the democracy is an important topic to be discussed in the essay. The discourse politics in this case focusses on the various social perspectives of the power balance in the society. The concept of the individual power in the democracy is one of the perspectives in which Machiavelli explains why the power should not   given away to the authority. According to Machiavelli the people should not give up their partial rights or freedom for a little good as in the long term this would gradually make the system tyrannical. The balance of the power in the society as shown in the Prince should be kept under strict supervision of the individuals. The aspects related to the distribution of the power between the people and the government in the democracy should be equal which is not the case in America is.
The power dynamic in the country needs to balance according to Machiavelli so that the co dependence in the society is maintained. In a democracy the people in the society. The shift in the power dynamics for any personal gains should not be allowed as it shifts the power in the favour of the authority. The Machiavellian principle focusses on the in-depth understanding of the American society in which the people are gradually getting addicted to the daily luxuries and therefore have lost their focus of their freedom in the favour of luxuries that they choose to live. In the long term the people in the society give up their individual rights and freedom to action and speech. The American society is dependent on the false promises and the deceptions of the politicians to maintain the society which does not always stand true. In the long term the people in the society will be greatly affected by the power that they have given to the authorities in the government. The introduction of the facilities would need the help of the consent of the public and it is up to them to see that their freedom is not curbed in the name of welfare. For example, the data kept for surveillance may help the government in solving a number of crimes and stopping an array of other issues but it should not intervene in the privacy that the people are entitled to. It takes into account the sharing of the big data with the private firms which may use them for their benefit.
Therefore it can be said that the power dynamics in the society should not be affected by the individual choices of the public in such a way that they curb their own rights. The politics in the society is deceptive and it is the responsibility of the general population to see that their rights are upheld and they are not being deceived in the name of progress.
