Once you have a collection of data, you need to aggregate and analyze it to determine opportunities for improvement. This exercise will introduce you to the concepts of data aggregation and analysis, using the case study that we started in Unit 2, “The Case of the Belated Lab Tests”

The provided data does not provide enough information for the establishment of a baseline to the analysis of this data.  The data does not provide the time frames within which the laboratory test was done. In this light, it is not possible to establish how fresh the data collected is. Turnaround test are supposed to be used when very fresh so as to establish better and more accurate results. Why the data was collected: The data was collected so as to establish the turnaround times and come up with strategies that would enhance future improvements on the current situation.
Who filled the check sheet: The data was fed into the check sheet by a team from the organization tasked with the duty(Freeman, 2015)
Which data was collected:  this question identifies the information gathered. The data was on information about the percentage of tests that were over standard from the provided data. The total number of over standard tests was compared against the each of the STATs, Routines and Urgent tests that were conducted. The percentage proportion of the over standard tests was then established as illustrated on the graph(Thomas, 2013).
