Due to this stress, the students start consuming drugs and they feel stress free after consuming the drugs or alcohol.

Use of alcohol and illegal drugs by college students
In the present scenario, it can be seen that students use of alcohol and drugs in their college. It is considered as one of the addiction for them and they use it only the routine basis. It can be stated that college students are one of the largest group of drug abusers on the global platform. Those students who are enrolled in a full time college program consume drugs and alcohol twice as compared to those who don’t attend the college.
It can be analyzed that high rates of drug abuse is among the students of college and there are many factors which are linked with it. The first factor is related to stress in which the students have to face the issue related to high demand of coursework or it can be said that they are in pressure due to their studies and jobs. Due to this stress, the students start consuming drugs and they feel stress free after consuming the drugs or alcohol. They consider it as a method that can help to reduce the stress of internships, studies and jobs (Badiani, Berridge, Heilig, Nutt & Robinson, 2018).
The next factor is related with the curiosity. There are many students who emphasize on exploring new factors of lives in their personal and professional platform.  So, they get attracted towards drugs for self-exploration and also to experiment that how to consume drugs. It can be seen that for the first time, they use it for experiment and then slowly they start getting addicted to it (Volkow & Morales, 2015).
Also, peer pressure is one of the factors which are related with the use of drugs and alcohol by the college students.  The students who are college are surrounded by the other individuals or the people who experiment with recreational. So, there are many students who use because of the bad company. It can be seen that it is one of the major factor for  the college students as there are many people who consume these drugs and by seeing them they also start consuming  drugs or alcohol in the routine basis (Aronson, 2015). 
It can also been seen that there are few components which are used by the college students on the regular basis. These take into consideration one of the popular component which is Alcohol. It can be stated that Alcohol is considered as the popular component which is related with the issues in the colleges.   It can be investigated that drinking is considered as the socially acceptable component but for college students it is considered as a serious issue. Due to academic pressure given by the colleges to the students it has been seen that consumption of alcohol by the college students is enhancing day by day. Also, there are many students who give tip to the other students to use marijuana to reduce the stress. So, students are also using one of the drugs which are named as Marijuana. It can be stated that Alcohol is also considered as the dangerous drug for the college students. Alcohol is always used in the house parties, sporting events and students get together. According to the national institute on alcohol abuse and alcoholism stated that half of the students are consuming drinks. Also, there are many students who are indulged in excessive drinking and it can lead to the immediate tragedies like injury and even death (Addiction center, 2018).  
Also, the prevention strategies are important to be considered so that it can be easy for the student to maintain their life. Prevention is one of the important factors that can help the students in improving their lives. So, the preventions that should be considered are related to education in which it is important to inform the students about the negative effects of drinking and drugs on their health. It is important or the educational institutions to impart knowledge to the students so that they can get to know that how alcohol can affect the overall growth of the students. There should be proper rules made so that it can be difficult for the students to use alcohol and drugs  (Levinthal & Hamilton, 2015).
So, it can be concluded that it is important to focus on considering the strategies related to educating the children and also by making the rules so that it can be easy to reduce the addiction of the college students. It is important to reduce this as it can help in maintaining their lives and can also boost the overall academic scores in the college.
