Discuss About The Effects On Physical Function Quality Of Life.
Answer:
Introduction
As a matter of fact, dealing with the elderly in our recent decade is very key to sustaining the generation. Unfortunately, there are very many problems in terms of health complications that have the seniors in the society. Being in a position to help live their old age lives in a better health is a key gain.
Benefits of Staying at Home
One of the most important things to underscore is that there is a high level of independence that they enjoy at home. No one regulates them what to eat or do. Studies have shown that this is a step towards ensuring that they sustain Good health (Lillo-Crespo & Riquelme 2018).Secondly, while at home they are able to express their views to the family members and they are heard and helped in advance. They have the care they need at the present time of their need. This has been noted to be very key in sustaining health (Nakrem et al 2018).
Disadvantages of Home
In the course of remaining at home, the elderly people have to use a lot of resources to keep up with their needs. This costs the family members and it raises cost implications concerns.
Secondly, because of the burden of diseases that they may have in their system. There seems to be a disregard of their care by some families (Pouw et al 2018). The children may find it to be a burden to sustain the wants of the old parent. If the parents come to understand that is the issue going on, they become distressed which escalates the health challenges which may soon bring them to death.
This is a portal that is dedicated to being a forum which will help the older generation to have services available for those in the age bracket. In case one is new in this forum what he or she needs to do is to be to start up working on the preliminaries that are needed in order to have the service. There is an introductory board that informs one of where he or she can be served. Those who are eligible for the services are well outlined so that somebody may not miss a mark. There the age bracket is clearly defined, there are some subscriptions one has to be aware of which vary depending on the level of care that one may receive. Under this section also there are options that if one is convinced of the forum can go to the next stage of the service which involves registration to the portal for services (Chan & Chan 2018). This step comes with a proper assessment by the government officials to establish whether you qualify for the service. Once the assessment is over, it, therefore, remains with the participants to make a choice of the service he may wish to have and set up the account he has created now ready for acquisition. Finally, through the avenue created avenue, all necessary adjustments can be made.
There is one prominent organization which is geared towards looking into the wants and needs of the older people. This organization is actually a government agency called the Australian Human Rights Commission sanctioned to look into all the problems that people of this age bracket go through (Alston 2018). Through various incentives which are well formalized to cater to the often challenges they go through. The first issue that can be dealt with is ensuring these old people are free from facing violence which many are prone to face. They harassed by the well to do people, they are also molested by the ill motived people and most of them are mistreated by their children because of their feeble conditions. There are well-laid rules and regulation for preventing this occurrence and also dealing with those who may have committed the crime against the old. Another thing that the commission can come up with that can help the old people is providing them with the residences especially those who may be challenged in this line to have them rest and also provide their basic needs through support strategies.these may include clothing, food and other amenities they may need. There can also be a monetary system for the old folk to help them sustain themselves.
In great means, it is known from the scientific ground that a little exercise or an outdoor activity is very important for any development of a normal physical organism. In fact, this proposition concerning a physical activity works well for each everyone who would engage in the exercise. It is essentially important for the older people to be engaged in these activities. By pulling them together performing the same activities, they are able to interact with one another, refresh their minds and this works as a great relief for those who would be depressed. It really changes their perspective on how they have been viewing life (Middleton et al 2018). In the event, they may find someone who is more challenged than they are and this gives them the challenge to appreciate their condition. When they pour out their issues, their hearts heal from the many issues had troubled them. Also through this exercise, there is a regeneration of the physical welfare which comes as a result of involving the body in the challenge. The blood circulation is stimulated and the healing effect of the blood is felt in every organ and nerve possible. All this revives the deadened senses and resurrection of the drooping organs hence improved health state of the concerned.
At one moment or the other, each and every person may be subjected to constipation which may affect the young as well as old (Dore et al 2018). It is usually a sign of a bigger problem which may be ranging within the organism that is little known of. It is more frequently in old people than young because of differing functionalities. There are factors that especially contribute to the case of old people contracting the condition. The inactiveness that is so prevalent in the old highly contributes to this challenge this makes a little bowel movement. There are also various medical challenges for this age; hence they take a lot of medicines which have a telling influence on the digestive tract of the person (Hiance-Delahaye et al 2018). There are also some cases of mostly consuming processed foods which are low in fibre content important for peristalsis hence this contributes to net indigestion and hence constipation at eh end of it all.
The nurse can take the old person through an interactive session that would help her or him arrive at the cause of the condition if it is caused by a diet that he or she has consumed, then an advice on focusing on the plant-rich fiber foodstuff would help the condition and try out some few exercises. Otherwise, if the problem is chronic through medical involvement he or she can be helped.
This tool is very important in understanding various reactions to the environment. When one uses safe Environment Game, he is able to understand the better side of the environment while unsafe Safe Environment kits demonstrate the hazard conditions of the same environment (Saunders et al 2018). Therefore through the use of this game, one can really understand what are the potential dangers that he or she can go through in the normal environment especially for the old people.
A hazard is actually something that has a potential to bring some harm to your body or to yourself. Using the game will help one to identify in the environment he or she is in what may be harmful to injure (Cox 2018). Once this discovery is done, it teaches one to be very careful henceforth in the interaction with the environment. For example, if one is in the garden the safe game skills will help one to quickly discern around the area in which things are safe and which otherwise can be a threat to the body. In also looking into a risk, it involves assessing the possibility that hazard noted can harm you. It is an evaluation of the suspected object of its power to harm you in the event of relating to it. Once it has been assessed, necessary measures can be taken to put away the impending danger from out of reach of the individual. This game will help one to get to this place of safety.
It is actually a great concern in Australia where there are many cases of hired health experts with a purpose to eradicate the problem of old age problem. This subject under concern has become very hot with time and it is now a major concern in Australia in that the available human resource for working against this concern is not able to meet the demand. This is because especially the level of complicated cases has been increasing with rapidity and also their unique forms are startling to the professions. The statistics reveal that especially with the descending towards the rural areas, the complication that the old people have been challenging to a point that even those physicians available have not been able to counter the speed (Veerasamy et al 2018). The professions have not been well prepared from their institutions to battle with the various strains of diseases emanating.
In reference to that, it is necessary for the sector in charge of training to really revise their curriculum so that all the necessary skills can be included in the course contents to equip the students (Smith et al 2018). There must also be marshalling of resources towards the local environments that can support the execution of the mandates by the graduate professions. Of importance is also to ensure that the initiatives in the rural areas rallying for the welfare of old are enacted.
