You will create a NEW speaking or writing assessment prompt and rubric or checklist that you could use in your practice. – I hope you can use this as an excuse to create something you can use. Maybe an item for your semester exam? Or the end of this next unit? Or a diagnostic for the students you’ll have at the start of the new semester? It’s especially important to create a prompt that elicits performance directly connected to the objective you hope to measure and that the tool for evaluation or marking includes ONLY criteria related to the performance you are assessing, not behaviors like “turned in on time” or “wrote neatly.”
