The story in the book for the children supports the domain of communication and the language by introducing the enchanting tale with the themes of the environment and some of the breathtaking illustrations that helped the children understand the vocabularies in the book (Brown 2013). The use of the props and the authors’ illustrations towards the capture of the imagination will make the story telling much more fun and interactive. This will help in the development of thinking, expression and communication among the children.
This particular activity thoroughly supports the communication and language. This is because scavenger hunts are fun and play. This helps the children to explore and find out the objects of the nature such as a twig, a clover, a green leaf, a bug as printed in the picture which is given to the children before the play (Murray and McDowell Clark 2017). These playful activities and the sensory experiences help in the stimulation of wide range of communication, conversation among the children in the outdoor.

This activity for the kids supports the notion of the physical development for the kids. The kids initiate the playful activity by pretending to be a tree, which makes them stand on one leg and sway like tree. They pretend to be a flower, which makes them lift their legs and balance on their sitting bones. These activities promote the physical development of the children thus helping them to strengthen their muscles (Stirrup, Evans and Davies 2017).
The activity for the kids will help in the growth of their skills and physical development. The activity development of a small garden with accumulation of pots, digging the wet soil, plantation of the seeds and watering the pots. The children also colors the pot with paint brushes and water and fence their garden area with twigs. This activity makes the children walk, run and engage in a playful activity.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED)
Unrestricted outdoor play in the garden
Helping the other children in gardening and identifying natural objects
This activity for the children is helpful towards the development of personal, social and emotional development (DSL et al. 2016). Supporting the children helps in the development of the skills for the social and the emotional interactions with the other children and furthermore makes them confident in their activities.
This activity is helpful for the children since it guides the children towards reflection (Lindon and Brodie 2016). The activity of helping the fellow friends is essential towards associating the social and the emotional competences serving as the key to the development of the traits and further encouragement.
Literacy
Creation of nature ABC book
Food Exploring (Care based meal time activity)
This activity engages the children to go on nature hunt and identify natural objectives representing each of the letter in the alphabet. This activity strengthens the literacy of the children.
This activity is a care based activity allowing the children to develop their skills in literacy. The activity includes the identification of the fruits and the vegetables that are hidden in a cloth bag by the children to improve their knowledge of vocabulary and new food items.
Mathematics
Water Balloon Game
This activity game termed as the water balloon mat activity learning game helps the children towards the development of the arithmetic skills like addition and subtraction by throwing water balls to the targets after calculation in their mind. This helps in development of the primary calculation skills among the children.
Understanding the World
Observation of the life cycle of a butterfly
This activity is extremely essential for the children in the understanding and the development of the ideas related to the growth cycle among the living objects in the nature.
Expressive Arts and Design
Nature Collage Project
This activity will enable the children to pick up natural objects like different shaped leafs, twigs, stones, flowers and other and create collage in the art book (Sammons et al. 2017). Furthermore coloring with the different shaped leafs in the art book enables the children to sharpen their skill related to expressive arts and designs.
The above template is a through activity plan for the children of age 3 to 4 years. The chosen theme for the activity template is nature. Following with the visit to the V&A Museum of childhood, I created the above stated activity plan for the effective demonstration of my knowledge and the understanding in relation to play activities, the learning and the development of the children. Some of the areas of development that I have highlighted in the template include the communication and the language, the physical development and the Personal, Social and Emotional Development. I furthermore noted down the activities strengthening the development of the children in the field of literacy, mathematics, world understanding and expressive arts and design. I believe that the activities Nature Scavenger Hunt and illustration and storytelling from books related to nature helps in the development of the interest of the children in their language and the communication skills. Interest in activities of plantation and painting, creation of nature ABC book, identification of food, nature activities of water balloon games and collage projects from the natural objects are some of the essential factors enriching the interest of the child guiding them towards theory learning and development of their skills by playful nature activates. My experience from the visit to the museum of childhood helped in understanding the learning and the development of the children in the enhancement through talking and playing. The inextricable link among the care and the education is totally visible and the above action plan template depicts the overall EYFS and development in children according to my personal experience.
