a)Examine the key positions put forth by the authors in the articles, especially with regardto the concepts of cross-cultural intelligence, cross-cultural competence, and barriers tocross-cultural interactions. Appraise and explain their key arguments.

b)Read and examine stories in newspapers and/or magazines from last six months.Identify two examples or case studies that illustrates cross-cultural intelligence, cross-cultural competence or barriers to cross-cultural interactions in action. Develop apersuasive and coherent argument as to why you see these two examples as goodillustrations of Rozkwitalska’s and/or Johnson et al.’s arguments.

You must summarise and pick out thesimilarities and differences in their discussion of the concepts, and to compare andcontrast their positions on the relationship between the concepts. Additionally, you areexpected to appraise their arguments, and to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses oftheir discussion, and to express your own understanding of the relationship betweencross-cultural intelligence, cross-cultural competence, and barriers to interculturalcommunication.
(b)You are expected to do a comprehensive review of articles from newspapers, and/ormagazines from the last six months, and to identify two stories that provide relevant andappropriate illustrations of Rozkwitalska’s and/or Johnson et al.’s key arguments. Youmust also provide a comprehensive explanation as to why the two articles you haveselected are good illustrations and, in so doing, you are to show how you might applyRozkwitalska’s and/or Johnson et al.’s key points to the examples you’ve selected. Youwill be assessed on the relevance of the examples you’ve provided, and your applicationof key elements drawn from Rozkwitalska’s and/or Johnson et al.’s articles.
