Discus about the Clinical Research and Clinical Trial Practice.
Answer
Section 1: Research question, background, and objectives
Clinical plans and clinical trials are very important processes in the medical field. Clinical trials are the research studies which are aimed at exploring whether the given medical strategies, medical treatments, or medical devices are safe and effective to be used by human beings (Friedman et al., 2015). These medical studies also show the best medical approaches to be used with certain illnesses. Generally, clinical trials help in producing the best available data and information to be used in making some medical decisions. Clinical plans, on the other hand, explain the major steps and procedures followed for the successful design and implementation of clinical trials (McGowan et al., 2015).
The main research question of our paper is: What are the major steps followed in the design of successful clinical trials?
Doing a detailed research on the design of clinical trials will help us to understand their great importance in the medical field especially in New Zealand which will be of great importance to different patients who require different medical strategies and treatments to recover from their illnesses.
The major objectives of the paper will be:
To help us to understand the design of clinical trials in details.
To help us to appreciate the importance of the clinical plans in the design of clinical trials.
To help us to design a simple clinical trial on our own using a given Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) checklist of the requirements.
All these objectives are justified and appropriate since they all aim at enhancing our clinical knowledge which is of great importance in this specific course and the entire medical field (Barrett, Yates, and McColl, 2015, pp.355-369).
Section 2: Research design and methods
To understand the major procedures which are followed in the design of clinical trials, we shall collect the information about the clinical plans and the design of clinical trials in various major health organizations within New Zealand. We shall supplement the collected information with the information which we shall obtain from the internet after doing a detailed web research about clinical plans and clinical trials.
In the physical collection of the data and information about clinical plans and the design of clinical trials in various major health organizations in New Zealand, we shall design some questionnaire forms with some questions which will seek to address the processes of clinical plans and the design of the clinical trials in the organizations. These questionnaire forms will be given to the appropriate personnel who deals with the issues of clinical trials in the organizations. The questionnaire questions will concentrate more on the general issues about clinical trials in the health organizations and will have both closed questions and some open-ended questions which will help to collect enough information about clinical plans and clinical trials in the organizations (Krosnick, 2018, pp.439-455). The questionnaire questions will also avoid some personal questions which can discourage the respondents (health officers) from giving the required information for fear of being recognized (Arora, 2017).
In addition to the questionnaire method, we shall also use the interview method where we shall interview some of the health officers working in the organizations to know about the approaches they use in the issues of clinical plans and clinical trials. The interview method will be very important and more effective in the collection of information about the clinical plans and the clinical trials in the organizations as we shall seek more clarifications on the questions which we shall feel need more clarifications. Again, to make the collection of information successful, we shall avoid personal questions in the interviews and concentrate more on the questions about clinical plans and clinical trials in the hospitals which are the main areas of our concern in the research (Ranney et al., 2015, pp.1103-1112).
The questionnaire and the interview methods are the most appropriate methods due to their simplicity and affordability and will help us to gather enough information about clinical plans and clinical trials in different health organizations in New Zealand (Dobson et al., 2015). We shall visit 100 different hospitals where we shall gather our required information using these two data collection methodologies.
After getting all the required data and information from the methods discussed above, we shall analyze this data and information using various statistical methods and software such as Ms. Excel, SPSS, among others and this detailed analysis will help us to come up with a detailed research report of the whole research process discussing all the important findings, recommendations, and the important conclusions which can be made from the whole research (Silverman, 2018).

Section 3: Strategic importance
The research about the clinical plans and the clinical trials has very many benefits not only to us as students but also to the whole country of New Zealand, especially in its health sector. Some of the expected benefits of the research to the country include:
The research will help to improve the knowledge of the health officers of New Zealand in a way. After successfully conducting the research, we shall prepare and publish a comprehensive report of all the findings including all the information we researched from the internet, and this report will be a good source of information or knowledge to different health officers of New Zealand who will read it and this will help to improve their medical knowledge.
The research will help to improve the health services especially the clinical services in New Zealand. As already said, we shall prepare a comprehensive report to document the findings of the whole research and even add more information and this will help to improve the quality of health services as the medical officers can read the report and implement the knowledge gained to improve the quality of existing good healthcare services of New Zealand (Ashton, 2015, pp.999-1004).
The research can also help to earn New Zealand as a country some income since the report which we shall prepare can be sold via some online platforms to the other countries and this will result in some financial benefits to the country of New Zealand (Fabling, 2017). We have several other benefits which may result from our research if we do it well and prepare a good report which will benefit many people.
Section 4: Expected outcomes
After successfully conducting the research, we have many outcomes which are expected to be realized. Some of these outcomes include:
Making a comprehensive report about the whole research report to document all the findings, recommendations, conclusion, among many other important aspects of the research.
Making several publications which will be distributed to several sectors which include the school library, the health ministries/sectors, the organizations which deal with the selling of books, journals, reports, and other documentation, among other sectors.
Making presentations of the research in our institution and in other public institutions such as in the governmental health organizations, private health organizations, and in other places where we feel the information from the research will be helpful
