Now it’s time to introduce a new requirement to your project.
Come up with a possible requirement that any stakeholder could request. Make sure that the requirements affects other requirements and already existing solutions.
Acting as the Change Control Board, assess the change, trace the requirement to learn the impact on the overall solution, and prioritize the requirement among all the requirements.
Since this is a new requirement, be sure to determine the cost, time, change to scope, and the risk of this request. 
 
Step 2
As a Business Analysis, you always need to know the current state (AS-IS), future state (TO-BE), the gap between the two and the risk.
Read Chapter 6 of the IIBA Book.

Watch the movie “The Matrix” starring Kenau Reeves. As you are watching the movie, do a strategic analysis jotting down notes on the following:
AS-IS state
TO-BE state
Risks and what was taken to alleviate those risks
What needed to be done to get from the AS-IS to the TO-BE state

Be prepared to talk about your observation/finding in regards to the movie in class. 

For your task, submit the deliverable for your personal project.
Submit the business case around a possible requirement that any stakeholder could request. Provide the following documentation that the Change Control Board would review:
Assessment of the change
Trace the requirement to understand the impact this change will have on the overall solution
Prioritize the requirement among all the requirements.
When prioritizing the requirement, be sure to include the cost, risk, penalty for not implementing, benefit for implementing, any dependencies to other requirements, time sensitivity, stability of the requirements and any compliance that needs to be met if any. 
 
Lesson
In the class:
As a class, discuss ‘The Matrix”.
Have a number of people provide their observations on the AS-IS and TOBe state
Have another set of students provide their observations on the gap and the risks to get them from the AS-IS to TO-BE state
As a class, select the best AS-IS, TO-BE, risk and gap explanation for the movie.

In your groups, do a strategic analysis of your team IT project. Build an infographic or video that explains each task of the Strategic Analysis Knowledge areas:
Current State (AS-IS)
Future State (TO-BE)
 
Provide insight into what could happen in the future regarding what you are working on for this project.

As a team, brainstorm the gap and select the top 3 gaps and options that need to be executed to get to the future state.
Each group will present their findings to the class
