On completion of this unit students will be able to: o Identify the key internal and external reviewers of a business plan and understand their objectives o Identify the key elements in presenting the business plan o Construct a business plan suitable for presentation to key decision-makers o Produce a verbal presentation in support of the business plan • Unit 9 Reading • The reading in this unit re-visits the idea of funding a business plan and in particular making a business plan as clear, concise and informative as possible to secure funding. • Required Reading: • For this unit you should read the following from Stutely, R. (2012) The Definitive Business Plan. 3rd Ed. Harlow: Pearson Education. Unit 9 Summary Journal Entry By the end of this unit you need to reflect on the learning experience in the overall module and how you will be able to apply it to your personal and/or professional life. Write a short (approx 300-500 words) summary to explain: • The key things you learned in this module • Whether your learning from this module has resulted in changed behaviour/ performance/ perspectives, and if so, in what areas – study/ work/ home life? Give specific examples.How they can aid your personal and professional development? • Has it helped your career? How – be specific. • Is there room for further development in any of the topics covered? Your Journal Entry should be submitted to the Journal Tool. Your tutor will then provide brief feedback on your submission. In total, your Journal Entries carry 20% of the marks for the module as a whole.
