The company required is AccorHotels, a French multinational hotel group, in a global point of view. Tips from the lecturer, Analysis is very important in this assignment it’s what the assignment is all about. Identify the overall view of the industry and what are the most likely solutions. Here is what my lecturer said when he was talking about what he wanted out of the assignment, “Big hotels are getting bigger and medium/small hotels getting squeezed” “AirBnB and other boutique hotels are disrupting the competition for the big firms like AccorHotels & Marriott by providing exceptional services, offers, creating new trends, etc. Booking platforms are also affecting the Hotel industry.” – Focus/discussion in the report should be Corporate level. – Competitive Dynamics – Identify challenges -Come up with a solution – Include graphs, statistics and tables – the lecturer does not need definition to strategic theories/concepts/framework, what is required is how the company analyses the strategic theories/concepts/framework. (VERY IMPORTANT) – it should not be about the companies which are under AccorHotels such as sofitel, novotel,etc,. the report has to be about the Accorhotels group at a corporate level
